Bal-An-Mor

Bal-An-Mor is an exciting interior design project that we undertook to furnish a charming new holiday let nestled in the heart of Pendeen. Our goal was to create an inviting atmosphere that combines modern aesthetics with the quintessential charm of a Cornish cottage, providing guests with a cozy yet vibrant retreat by the coast.

Each bedroom in Bal-An-Mor features a carefully selected pop of colour, expertly integrated to inject liveliness and personality into the space while maintaining a serene ambiance. This approach ensures that each room feels unique and inviting, encouraging relaxation and rejuvenation after a day of exploring the stunning surroundings. We chose soft hues and accent pieces, such as throw pillows and artwork, that complement the overall design while creating a warm and welcoming environment.

The heart of the cottage is the open-plan living area, designed to enhance connectivity and collaboration among guests. This space features modern architecture that embraces a large single window and airy layouts, flooding the interior with natural light and offering captivating views of the Cornish landscape. The living area is furnished with comfortable seating that encourages gathering, paired with a stylish dining space that serves as a focal point for shared meals and cherished moments.

Our design philosophy for Bal-An-Mor emphasises a harmonious balance between contemporary elements and traditional Cornish cottage characteristics. We carefully selected materials and furniture that reflect the local environment, incorporating natural textures like wood and stone, which evoke the rustic charm of coastal living.

By thoughtfully blending vibrant accents with cozy furnishings and a modern architectural approach, Bal-An-Mor embodies the essence of a perfect holiday retreat. The result is a beautifully curated space that invites guests to relax, unwind, and enjoy their time in Pendeen, creating lasting memories in a home away from home.
